Directors
Matthew Oliver
MIPA AFA, MAppFin, MFinPlan, DipFMBM
Leading the firms overall strategy and vision, Matthew excels in finding innovative yet practical solutions for both Alarie and our clients.
Being grounded in a strong compliance mindset, along with holding all necessary qualifications and registrations to offer the full gambit of services, he continues to drive the multi-disciplinary model as the technical director primarily responsible for Accounting, Taxation, Wealth and Loan services.
Matthew has been a key player in moving all aspects of Alarie forward since first joining the firm 2013 having spent six years in the Australian Defence Force, and subsequently being appointed to the board in 2015.
Using his interest and technological bent, Matthew is working on all aspects of the business and is keen to find better solutions for both our firm and our clients across every service line.
Muriel Oliver
FCPA, CA, CTA, MBA, DipFP, DipFMBF
As the other technical director, Muriel brings over 40 years of knowledge & experience, covering a wide range of industries, both within Australia and abroad. Whilst being multi-licensed, she currently focuses on Accounting and Taxation services.
Muriel leverages her experience to find solutions which meet
client needs and add value to both their personal financial position, and that of their business.
Giving back to the profession, Muriel often lectures for professional accounting bodies and enjoys passing on her knowledge to others. For this reason she has also started writing a series of eBooks on various business, investing, estate planning & accounting issues.
Alan Oliver
FCPA, FGIA, FCG, MBA, DipFP, DipFMBM
With extensive experience in commerce both in Australia &
abroad,
Alan joined the firm in 2007 to add to the exceptional team, and to manage the firms internal administration on a part-time basis, freeing up the technical directors to focus on compliance, client care, and team development.
Taking a pragmatic approach to solving everyday business problems, Alan has used his international experience in restructuring and change management to help businesses solve their everyday problems.
He is also the Finance and Operations Director for a large proprietary business, owned and operated in Western Australia.

It is our wont to be very mindful of the privacy of our wonderful team and their safety and well being, so it is our policy not to disclose their names. If you are one of our valued clients then you will have access to our team emails and no doubt have met a few of us.
We regularly work with Non-For-Profit organisations that support veterans and victims of domestic violence both by providing pro bono services and/or work experience to assist them in gaining experience relevant to their chosen career path and the confidence to go to the step in making their dreams a reality. This has taught us that the highest levels of confidentiality should be the default option.
